====== Design Principles ====== The following are fundamental principles for the design of **Charity Radar** Items or parts of items //in italics// are yet to be formally agreed. * //**Charity Radar** will only be targeting UK Charities and similar organisations// * The design will allow other //UK sectors// to be targetted in future * International [[names]] and [[addresses]] will be able to be stored * As much as possible, the product will be cost-neutral to the end user. The grants raised and the costs saved will outweigh the cost of the product * There will be a series of [[modules]] which will be developed in an agreed order. Once the core modules exist, the product will be released to the world * The onboarding process will be largely self-service. It will be accompanied by help files and/or videos as necessary The following terms will be used: * **Account** - an organisation that subscribes to **Charity Radar** * **User** - an individual who has access to the data and facilities of **Charity Radar**. A user always belongs to one and only one Account but may have access to administer one or more Accounts * **Privilege** - the access rights a User has for an Account - see [[users]] * **Person** - the information stored about a natural person
