A Charity Radar Account represents an organisation. Each Account will have a 'type' and a 'band'.
Account types in italics may not be implemented in the First Release
The monthly subscription for Charity Radar will be:
Where possible, these will be calculated automatically. However, it seems likely that, with the exception of charities, the banding process will be largely manual. Consequently, we hold a 'last checked' date so we can easily prioritise which accounts need to be banded.
Charities will be banded by their income declared to the Charity Commission. This information can be obtained via the API when the account is created. The figure used is the average of the last three years declared income.
Because this information is obtained automatically from the API, the checked date is set to the day the account was created. If the information cannot be obtained, the size defaults to Medium and the checked date is left blank.
In both cases, there is no apparent way to obtain income data. Therefore the account band is set to Small and the checked date is left blank. It is possible that the banding will be based on the number of contacts stored in Charity Radar instead of income. This will allow the banding to grow with their use of the system.
In both cases, there is no apparent way to obtain income data. Therefore the account band is set to Large and the checked date is left blank.
